The International Brethren in Christ Association has since its inception in 2006 operated primarily as an advisory group.  In January, 2009, Darrell Winger joined IBICA on a part-time basis as its first Executive Director.  In February, Dr. Terry Brensinger accepted an invitation to serve on the IBICA staff as a full-time Pastor/Teacher.  In this role, Terry, along with his wife, Deb, will assist the association in its global efforts to:

• train pastors and other church leaders in developing countries;
• build bridges among the Brethren in Christ around the world; and
• clarify and articulate a more international understanding of what it means to be Brethren in Christ.

As he works at these various objectives, Terry plans to spend roughly one third of his time teaching in various countries outside North America where Brethren in Christ pastors are trained, one third connecting with pastors and congregations in the U.S. and Canada, and one third in research and writing.
